Claudia Hendel was born in 1954 in Florence, where she lives and works. After graduating in philosophy, in 1980, she persued a path of artistic research elaborating a pictorial technique with enamel and acid on brass combined with the use of Wood’s lamp.
She later replaced the canvas with metal, obtainging the bright vibrations of brass plates with the dynamic exasperation of marks. Her research on light continues with an exploration of colour and its transparency.
Currently her interest is also directed at the photographic medium to which she applies pictorial elements.
Since 1984 he has exhibited in many galleries in Italy and abroad.
